Youngcare Launches Gold Coast Project with ‘Titans Brick’ from ABC Brick Sales
1 June 2010 Gold Coast, Australia: Brisbane-based charity Youngcare is continuing its campaign to provide dignified and appropriate care alternatives for young people with 24/7 care needs, today announcing its latest project at Coomera.
Premier Anna Bligh today turned the first sod on the new Gold Coast Youngcare Apartments.
“ABC Brick Sales and the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have joined together and created the ‘Titans Brick’ and ’Titans Block’, the sale of which will raise much needed funds for the Youngcare Apartments Gold Coast,” Gold Coast Titans’ Managing Director Michael Searle said.
“We urge all local builders and developers to show their support for Youngcare by purchasing ‘Titans Bricks & Blocks’ for upcoming projects. Of the highest possible quality, they have been manufactured exclusively for ABC Brick Sales by Austral Bricks and Masonry.”
Youngcare Appreciative Of Support
“Youngcare is very appreciative of the support of the Gold Coast Titans, ABC Brick Sales, Wesley Mission Brisbane and the State and Federal Governments. It’s wonderful to have the support of the government, business and the community and gives us a great platform to raise awareness of the issue to drive change and create real choices for young Australians with 24/7 care needs,” added Ms Vit.
The Youngcare Apartments Gold Coast are another step in Youngcare’s mission to address the accommodation issue at a national level, with Sydney and Melbourne slated for future developments.
With 6,500 young Australians currently residing in aged care, and another 700,000 being cared for at home, often by family members, the Youngcare Apartments Gold Coast provide a ray of hope as Youngcare continues to provide relevant and dignified care options for young Australians with 24/7 care needs.
