One of our suppliers, Austral Bricks, recently teamed up with the style team at Belle Magazine to create 5 showcases featuring the incredible effect bricks can have in interior applications.
The first design was created by Market Editor Lucy McCabe. Lucy used the ‘Governor’ bricks in Wakehurst, Foveaux, King and Haigh to create an amazing herringbone feature. This was then topped with ‘Burlesque’ Bricks in Indulgent white. This amazing brick work was then complemented with rustic decor to create the final product.
The second design was created by Nicholas Gurney, an interior designer. Nicholas drew on inspiration from the Wizard of Oz, using the ‘Camilla‘ bricks in the colour Sol to create a bright and inviting industrial chic sitting room.
The third showcase created by Architect Vince Alafaci and interior designer Caroline Choker from Acme & Co. was a mid-century style design featuring the ‘La Paloma‘ bricks in Miro and Gaudi. Vince and Caroline coupled this with some great minimalistic furniture choices and yellow accents.
Belinda Cendron then chose the ‘Burlesque‘ bricks in Indulgent White, ‘Breeze Block’ in Procelain and ‘Ultra Smooth’ in Tempo and Lush. The ‘Breeze Block‘ bricks helped to bring in “dappled” light, helping to create a light and bright feel in her room.
The final design by Ryan Russell and Byron George involved the creation of a 3D pattern feature wall built from the ‘Burlesque‘ bricks in Indulgent White, Smashing Blue and Sublime Steel. The texture of the wall was complemented by crisp white furniture, creating a stunning and quirky space.
